Slither my body
between the cracks in
the sidewalk so I can

avoid the sound of
the passing trucks

and the
gaze
of the
discarded needles.

 


Robert J. W. is a poet and writer from Morgantown, WV that is known for his work about mental health and memory.  He is the former poetry editor for Dumpster Fire Press and has been writing poetry for 20 years now. He has frequently published collections with Alien Buddha Press (including Dusty Video Game Cartridges, Taste The Third Eye, and Coffee Ring Lies) as well as being featured in several of their zines and anthologies. He has also been featured in Ovation, FromOneLine Volume 2, A Thin Slice Of Anxiety, Rye Whiskey Review, Literary Revelations Journal, Back Room Poetry, Threadlit Mag, and Roi Fainéant.
